ADHD, Autism and Menopause Coaching & Specialist Support Across the Lifespan
A considered, clinical, and personalised approach to understanding ADHD & Autism — and building a life that works in alignment with you.
Welcome
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, you are not alone. Many individuals with ADHD or Autism find themselves navigating challenges in work, relationships, emotional regulation, sleep, and self-confidence, often without the right support or understanding. My role is to help you make sense of these experiences with clarity and without judgment, and to support you in creating a way of living that is both sustainable and aligned with who you are

Terrie Smith
Neurodevelopmental Specialist, Independent Nurse Prescriber & Coach
I bring over two decades of experience in mental health and neurodevelopmental care, combining clinical expertise with a psychologically informed and coaching-led approach. My initial studies began in Sociology and psychoanalysis at Goldsmiths College, University of London and this foundation continue to shape how I understand the relationship between environment, society, identity, mental health, emotional wellbeing and human behaviour across the lifespan. My professional background and qualifications include qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse in 2004 through University of Greenwich and later qualifying as an Independent Prescriber in 2015 through St George’s, University of London. I also completed postgraduate training in Child and Adolescent Mental Health through King’s College London as well as qualifications/training in autism assessment and coaching, in an array of fields and specialism including neurodivergence and menopause.
Outside of Work
A Personal Perspective
I am naturally drawn to quieter and more reflective pursuits. I value reading, painting, film, cooking, and creating a home environment that feels calm, grounded, and lived in. I have a long-standing interest in interior design, particularly the ways in which our environment can influence emotional wellbeing, regulation, and provide a sense of safety and identity. I share my home with two rescue dogs, Hugo and Monty, who came from Romania and remain a much-loved part of my daily life.
This ethos carries through into my work.

My Approach
Unlike many coaching approaches that move quickly towards strategies and solutions, the foundation of my work is “Assessment Before Intervention.” At LifeSpan Coaching, I believe meaningful support begins with developing a deeper understanding of the individual through a thoughtful and in-depth assessment process. This creates space to step back and consider the whole person. Together, we will:
This is a collaborative and highly individual process, shaped entirely around your needs, pace, and goals
Areas of Support
I offer specialist support across a range of areas, including:
Medication-related expertise forms part of my broader clinical background; however, prescribing is not provided within the coaching service.

A Holistic Perspective
ADHD & Autism does not exist in isolation.
My approach considers the wider context in which you live, including:
This allows for a more complete and meaningful understanding of your experience, and more effective, sustainable support
Who I Work With
I work with both adults and young people at different stages of life, as well as families and organisations seeking greater understanding and practical support around ADHD and neurodivergence.
Workplace Support
I provide guidance and coaching for workplaces seeking to better understand and support neurodivergent individuals. This includes working with leaders, teams, and organisations to develop practical strategies that create more effective, informed, and supportive working environments.
ADHD & Autism, Hormones & Midlife
Hormonal change, particularly during perimenopause and menopause, can significantly influence ADHD & Autism symptoms. I offer informed support to help you understand and navigate these changes with greater clarity and stability.

Working Together
If you are ready to develop a clearer understanding of yourself and to build a life that feels more manageable, balanced, and aligned, I would be pleased to support you.
